A TEAM FROM SARAJEVO HAS ARRIVED: THE BEAR WILL BE PUT TO SLEEP IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH THE REASONS FOR THE INJURY
An emergency intervention was provided by the volunteer team of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Sarajevo together with colleagues from the Faculty of Agriculture, whose team also included doc.dr. Vedad Škapur.

Although, as Škapur says, the prognosis is not good, the bears managed to provide adequate therapy and give her anesthesia. More will be known about her health tomorrow morning.
"She came from the forest with two cubs. I think she was sick for a while because she lost a lot of weight and her condition is not as it should be. We managed to give her adequate therapy today, but to be honest, her prognosis is bad because when a wild animal like a bear cannot get to its feet, it is a bad sign. We have sheltered it near the forest. The police and the hunting society from Kreševo will monitor the condition of the bear all night, "said Škapur.

No one would be happier than him, he adds, and than the people who spent all day trying to help the bear get up, when she would recover.

"We are also in contact with the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs, if, God forbid, the bear dies, then we will see what we will do with the young. The Federal Administration has a solution in that direction, so we will see. We hope for the best, we helped as much as we could and do your best ", said Škapur.
