In the scope of the Erasmus+ project DERHE, the activities enhancing Digital Education Readiness by developing attractive learning and teaching environments are gaining momentum. In addition to previously delivered online training sessions, excellent training dedicated to VR/AR educational tools and the Educational Lean Game was held in Gent at KU Leuven from 12 to 15, June 2024.
The training was very intensive, but three activities got major attention. First, it was the Lean Office Game or, better to say, the procedure of engaging actors to get deep insight into the working processes enabling them to spot activities that waste time and resources. Second, a very inspirational talk done by colleague I.
Martens about Activating teaching methods: cooperation with industry, online course development, and student project work. Third was a visit to the University brewery, which also serves as a hub to engage the industry in solving real-time problems. It was a truly inspiring visit – thank you KU Leuven and all project partners for the good discussion and plenty of ideas.
