IN OUR FACULTY HELD WORKSHOP OF ERASMUS+ STEPS PROJECT IN PERIOD 11TH-13TH DECEMBER 2019



At the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences in the period 11th - 13th December 2019 held workshop on Erasmus+ STEPS project - Master Study in Sustainable Food Production Systems.

The 11 partner institutions from the Western Balkans (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Kosovo) and the EU (Greece, Czech Republic and Romania) have been intensively working on a new master's study, which should be offered in the new academic year 2020/2021 year.

These activities related to Working Package 2 and development a master program through defining and structuring of core and elective courses in two pillars: Pillar 1 - Food engineering, quality and safety, and Pillar 2 - Management of food production system. In addition, the work on all other working packages was analyzed, the level of procurement of equipment and plan of activities in the coming period.

The participants of the workshop visited the reputable company in the field of the mill and bakery industry - KLAS d.d. Sarajevo. Also, during the workshop, prof. dr. Emir Dzomba introduced Interreg Mediterranean project RE-LIVE WASTE - Improving innovation capacities of private and public actors for sustainable and profitable recycling of livestock waste, thereby opening up opportunities for collaboration with the STEPS project.
